CD Cover Process

CD Cover:

This was our original plan for our CD  cover. When we changed the "bad girl"
photo-shoot background colour from black to white, we decided to do the same
with the CD cover but keep the layout the same.

We used the dimensions of the CD to create a blank document. We then used the
shape tool to create a circle using the outlines of the document. We used the rulers
in Photoshop to make the CD as accurate as possible.

To keep with the white/grey theme of the CD package, we added the grey to white
gradient on the CD. Whereas the gradient is horizontal on the front and back covers
the gradient is vertical to keep with the theme but add a bit of variety to the package.

The text we added onto the CD was the same font and colour of the rest of the CD
package. All of the small print at the bottom of the CD is inspired by our case studies,
particularly Rihanna's "Loud" album. Each piece of text is a different size and colour
so that the consumer doesn't get confused.
